Subject: alternative method for Quiz 8 #2
Could one solve problems like #2 on Quiz 8 without observing that the solutions to the system were sines and cosines? Is there a way to determine the stability of a system of differential equations even when you cannot symbolically solve the system and outside of obvious cases like when all the coefficients are positive?
